RO antiscalants, membrane cleaners and disinfectants for reverse osmosis plants.
Reverse osmosis membranes are the most expensive consumable in any RO plant, and the right chemical program is what protects that investment. Drashti Chemicals supplies complete RO plant chemical programs — antiscalants, membrane cleaners, dechlorinators and biocides — engineered to prevent scaling, fouling and oxidation while holding permeate quality steady. Since 2015 we have supported pharma, food, power and municipal RO operators across India from our Vadodara base. Our approach begins with your feed-water analysis: hardness, silica, iron, LSI and organics all determine the correct antiscalant chemistry and dose. We then build a program that keeps the membrane surface clean between CIP cycles, removes free chlorine ahead of the membrane using sodium metabisulphite, and controls biofouling with targeted biocides. The payoff is longer membrane life, fewer cleaning shutdowns, lower energy cost from reduced differential pressure, and consistent output. Every product ships with COA and MSDS, and our team stays on call for troubleshooting scaling, flux decline or pressure-drop issues.
An RO chemical program runs in four coordinated stages. Pre-treatment removes free chlorine and oxidants ahead of the membrane using sodium metabisulphite dechlorination to prevent irreversible oxidation. Antiscalant dosing then inhibits calcium, silica and sulphate scale on the membrane surface, based on the calculated Langelier index of the feed. During operation, biocide programs suppress biofilm and microbiological fouling. Periodically, membrane cleaning (CIP) with alkaline and acidic cleaners strips accumulated foulants and restores flux. Drashti supplies the antiscalant, dechlorinant, biocide and cleaning chemistry for every stage, tuned to your feed water.
Drashti Chemicals brings feed-water analysis, correct antiscalant selection and dosing optimisation to every RO project — not just product supply. Serving RO operators since 2015 from Vadodara, we provide membrane-safe formulations, COA and MSDS with every batch, pan-India bulk delivery and responsive technical support for flux-decline or scaling problems. Our programs reduce cleaning frequency and extend membrane life, cutting the true cost of RO operation.
Antiscalants interfere with crystal nucleation and growth of scale-forming minerals like calcium carbonate, calcium sulphate and silica on the membrane surface, keeping them dissolved so they pass to the reject stream instead of fouling the membrane.
Thin-film composite RO membranes are damaged irreversibly by free chlorine. Dosing sodium metabisulphite ahead of the membrane removes residual chlorine and protects the membrane from oxidation.
Cleaning frequency depends on feed-water quality and antiscalant performance, but a well-designed program can extend intervals significantly. A rising differential pressure or falling permeate flow signals it is time for CIP.
Yes. We analyse feed-water parameters — hardness, silica, iron and LSI — to recommend the correct antiscalant chemistry and dose for your specific RO system.
