Product Overview
Orthoclear unsaturated polyester resin is the water-clear FRP grade Drashti Chemicals supplies to gel-coat lines, cultured marble, sanitary ware and transparent laminate producers who need surface cosmetics without heavy pigment load. Orthophthalic clear UPR flows on vertical moulds and exotherms differently than tinted general-purpose resin — viscosity and styrene on COA are incoming QC anchors.
Styrenated resin is flammable; vapour is heavier than air and pools in low pits. Ventilation, bonded storage, no sparks, and MEKP/accelerator handling per your shop SOP are mandatory before first drum — we supply COA and MSDS; EHS compliance is plant-side. Inhibitor in fresh resin is not a licence to store drums in hot sun.
Store cool, dark, sealed — UV and heat age resin before printed shelf life and gel time drifts mid-laminate. Match catalyst level, accelerator and shop temperature to supplier TDS; orthoclear yellowing or crazing often traces to wrong peroxide level or aged lot, not only mould release issues.
