Clear PET — print, stiffness and lamination anchor
BOPET face films give dimensional stability and high-quality print — converters pair with ink systems and adhesive/LDPE seal layers. Specify thickness and corona/treated side if your laminator requires it.
Wrong thickness on the PO changes stiffness and registration on high-speed presses — match incumbent roll spec, not just “12 micron PET.”
Metalized PET — when the laminate needs more barrier
Vacuum-deposited aluminium on PET adds barrier and metallic appearance for snack, biscuit and some pharma decorative packs — lighter than foil in many structures.
Metalized web is sensitive to crease and scratch — handling and core size matter on RFQ. Barrier needs above metalized PET capability still require foil or specialised coex — state target OTR/WVTR if your QA sheet lists it.

Film type (clear PET vs metalized PET), thickness µm, width, roll OD/core, treated side, quantity rolls or kg, application (laminate, lidding, overwrap), delivery city.
Attach drawing or BOM slice from your laminate structure so the desk does not quote face film when you needed metalized core.

No — metalized PET is a thin aluminium deposit on PET; foil is solid aluminium gauge. High-barrier specs may still require foil or coex structures.

Can metalized film be printed?
