LDPE vs HDPE, short answer: LDPE (low-density polyethylene) is softer and more flexible — common in film, lamination and squeeze applications; HDPE (high-density polyethylene) is stiffer and stronger per thickness — common in bottles, crates, pipes and rigid packaging. They are not interchangeable granule swaps without retooling and reformulation.

Drashti Chemicals quotes LDPE and HDPE from Vadodara as a distributor with manufacturer COA where supplied — we do not extrude film or mould parts. Put application (film, blow mould, injection), melt flow index band if known, and colour/natural on the RFQ.
Density and mechanical feel
LDPE branches more — lower density, higher clarity in thin film, better sealability in many heat-seal stacks. HDPE chains pack tighter — higher stiffness, better chemical resistance in many rigid containers.
If your machine is set for HDPE bottle grade, dropping LDPE granules causes sag, wall thickness drift and scrap — name resin duty on the PO.

Resin type (LDPE vs HDPE), MFI/MFR or melt index range from your last COA, application, natural vs masterbatch, monthly MT, sack vs bag pack, and delivery city.
Matching the incumbent grade and assay on your last COA helps the desk quote the closest in-stock material — attach that COA scan when switching suppliers.
Film vs rigid — link to polyester and metalized SKUs
Many flexible packaging lines run PE film layers with polyester face stock — LDPE often appears as seal or lamination layer; HDPE may appear in rigid caps or crates on the same plant site but different machines.

Storage and monsoon
Keep granule bags on dry pallets — moisture and dust at the feeder cause gels and bubble defects in film lines. FIFO matters when warehouse humidity is high.
Consolidate LDPE/HDPE with polyester film on one Vadodara dispatch only when freight economics justify — resin and film have different handling.

Generally no without equipment and recipe changes — stiffness and melt behaviour differ. Trial off-line before bulk PO.
What is melt index on the COA?
MFI/MFR indicates flow at test conditions — processors match it to screw speed and die design. Share your last COA band on the RFQ.
Does Drashti extrude LDPE film?
No — we supply resin and film SKUs as quoted from Vadodara with documentation; we are a stockist, not a converter.
Are LDPE and HDPE food-contact ready automatically?
Name food-contact or export resin spec on the RFQ if your audit requires it — not all PE grades are quoted equal.
