Hydrogen Peroxide Strengths and COA: RFQ Checklist for Textile, Paper and ETP Buyers

35% vs 50% H₂O₂, stabiliser content, assay decay and compatible packs — what to write on a peroxide RFQ before you accept a tanker or carboy from Gujarat.

Supplying industrial chemicals from Vadodara since 2015 — ETP coagulants, RO programs, and process chemicals with batch COA/MSDS.

Hydrogen peroxide is bought by active H₂O₂ content, not drum colour. Industrial supply is typically 35% or 50% w/w stabilised solution — the wrong strength wastes bleach time in kiers or overflows your HDPE day tank. Degraded peroxide with low assay looks like a “cheap” quote but costs oxygen and heat in the plant.

Founder-led industrial chemical supply from Vadodara — ETP coagulant selection, RO programs, textile and pharma utility chemicals. Batch COA/MSDS on every dispatch. GSTIN 24AGLPC6288M1ZX.

Before you PO peroxide for textile bleaching, paper brightening or ETP colour oxidation, put strength, stabiliser type, pack, storage capability and required assay at receipt on the RFQ. Drashti Chemicals quotes 35% and 50% grades from Vadodara with batch COA — we do not publish list prices.

35% vs 50% — pick strength for your tank and freight

35% w/w suits most textile kiers, mid-size HDPE day tanks and plants without dedicated bulk dilution. 50% w/w reduces water shipped per active kg — attractive for high monthly offtake with cool, shaded storage and trained unloading — but it is less forgiving in small carboy handling.

State which strength your dosing pumps and tank labels are calibrated for. Switching from 35% to 50% without retagging is a common near-miss in Gujarat bleach houses.

COA fields that matter at goods inward

H₂O₂ assay (% w/w at receipt), stabiliser identity (often tin or phosphorus-based packages — know what your effluent and catalyst steps tolerate), appearance, and lot/date. Peroxide loses assay in heat — inward test or supplier COA date matters for long road legs.

Low-stabiliser or specialty grades for electronics/pharma-adjacent uses are separate SKUs — write “low stabiliser” or attach incumbent spec; do not assume textile grade will pass a clean-room audit.

Storage, materials of construction and safety

Store below 30 °C, shaded, ventilated — never in iron or copper contact. HDPE, titanium or approved FRP for tanks; PTFE/PVDF for dose pumps at higher concentrations. Secondary containment is expected under hazmat norms for Gujarat chemical zones.

Keep away from strong reducers and organics that can decompose peroxide. Spill response is dilution and ventilation — MSDS must travel with the lot. Do not reuse food or unrelated chemical drums.

Application notes for the RFQ (helps the desk quote once)

Textile: name fibre (cotton vs blend), kier vs continuous, and whether you pair with caustic and stabiliser — bleach chemistry is temperature-driven. ETP: state if you run UV, ferrous catalyst, or standalone AOP — reactive dyes often need more than peroxide alone.

Packaging RFQ: 30–35 kg carboys for trials, 250 kg drums for regular plants, ISO/tanker for 10 MT+ monthly with compatible unloading at your site. Drashti dispatches with hazmat-aware carriers from Vadodara (GST 24AGLPC6288M1ZX).

Frequently Asked Questions

Does Drashti supply both 35% and 50% hydrogen peroxide?

Both strengths are quoted subject to stock and your site storage capability. Confirm strength and pack on the RFQ — we do not publish list prices.

Why does hydrogen peroxide assay drop in storage?

H₂O₂ decomposes faster with heat, contamination and poor venting. Inward COA date, cool storage and dedicated tanks protect assay — weak peroxide extends bleach cycles.

Can I store peroxide in a mild steel tank?

No — iron and copper contact catalyse decomposition. Use HDPE, titanium or specified FRP with compatible gaskets and PTFE/PVDF dosing where required.

Peroxide vs sodium hypochlorite for textile bleaching?

Peroxide suits heat bleaching with lower AOX concern in many effluents; hypochlorite is a different chemistry and equipment path. Name your fibre and temperature on the RFQ.

What should a peroxide COA show?

H₂O₂ % w/w, stabiliser/stabilisation note, appearance, batch/lot, and date — matched to the drum or carboy label at inward.
